We had a great experience with Southbound Escapes and feel it is the best thing to do in Narooma. We did the slightly more adventurous wilderness ride which takes you on graded gravel roads through state forest, rainforest, along the river, through farmland and then back to town. Highly recommended! The staff were friendly and the equipment made the whole experience easy and fun. The picnic lunch was excellent. Be sure to take the out and back detour to the lookout for a great view over the estuary and out to the ocean.

We hired e-bikes from southbound and cycled up to Dalmeny. The bikes were great, the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful and the cycle was easy and beautiful. Really recommended.

We hired e bikes and rode the magnificent narooma to Dalmeny trail, with food and drinks by southbound escapes. We had a fabulous time. The food was excellent and the bikes were great. Southbound escapes even put on the perfect weather for us. We also managed to see the stingrays and seals at the boat ramp for an extra bit of excitement.

My family of 4 hired e-bikes from Southbound Escapes in Feb 2026. It was our first time on ebikes so we were a bit nervous. However the staff put our minds at ease with their friendly and thorough explanation of how the bikes worked. We hired for 2 hours and did the Narooma-Dalmeny cycle path which was very scenic. The bikes were great, very easy to use and good quality (2 x Giant and 2 x Norco). We arrived back about 15 mins late and I offered to pay extra for that time but the staff would not hear of it. This ride was some of the best fun I have had in a long time and I would strongly recommend everyone but especially families take their kids when they are in beautiful Narooma.

We had the most amazing bike ride. We were coming from Canada and booked the bikes online ahead of time. We couldn’t believe how beautiful the ride was and so many highlights like the seal colony and stunning views. If we had k own the area was so amazing we would have stayed there longer. We were unfortunately just passing through for the day. Sally was so helpful when we got to the rental and helped us plan our activities in the area to attend as we passed through the area. This is the best place to come for help as Sally directed us to the most amazing lunch location as well. Great resource. Thanks for the great day out! Jennifer K

We hired 3 E-bikes for 2 hours and had so much fun. We road all the way around to Kianga stopping for breaks to see the seals and a swim along the way. The ladies at Southbound Escapes were so friendly and helpful (thank you) Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to see the beautiful scenery and enjoy some exercise too. We had a great day organised by Southbound Escapes. E-bike hire self guided tour to Oyster Farmers Daughter where we had a sensational seafood lunch then off to Big Niles Brewery for a beer paddle. We had an amazing experience with Southbound Escapes, in particular with Sally! She was extremely helpful and made us feel at home in Narooma, giving us lots of information on the local area and even planning a route for us to drive on our way up to Jervis Bay. We would highly recommend the E Bikes and the cycle route from Narooma to Dalmeny. We have been recommending Narooma and Sally at the visitors centre to all our friends who are planning on travelling down the East Coast. Finlay M

The E-bikes were great our ages ranged from mid 60's to 13. All three of us loved the bikes and ride to Dalmeny. Sally took time to show us about each bike, get sizings right and gave us a good safety briefing. Will definitely be doing this each time we come to Narooma. Thx Sally. Jeff

Best way to spend a couple of hours in Narooma. What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Friendly, helpful service and the E-bikes are so easy to use. The staff can show you how to use it if you’re worried. I towed my daughter in a kids trailer from Narooma to Dalmeny and back with no issues. We had loads of fun taking in the gorgeous scenery and a drop at a playground or two along the way. Bohonomad

This is such a great experience. I hired an e-bike with a friend. The owner was so accommodating. We needed to change the hire date due to poor weather, not a problem. We weren't sure if we wanted to hire for 2 or 3 hours, not a problem. 2 hours is not enough. I would recommend that you hire for more than 2 hours. All the staff are nice and showed brochures and tips of where to go. I highly recommend Southbound escapes. Lisa C
